Musical talent has been known to emerge out of Westpark Elementary's School in Irvine, CA. When we heard about Macy's A Capella Challenge, we had to assemble a group to go for it for the experience, the learning opportunity, and for fun. We put out a school-wide call to see what the interest was and told the students that this would entail sacrificing some lunches, after school time, and a few days of Fall Break to rehearse and film the video cut. The students stood committed to this call and in just 2 short weeks we were able to hold auditions and rehearse with this group of 18 students ranging in age from Kindergarden to 6th Grade. Under the musical direction of Ingrid Green and Erin Faulker and video credits to Sheng Jiang, here is our rendition of "I Want You Back" performed by Westpark Elementary students.
